The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is a 243-meter-high building (48 floors above ground) that houses the administrative offices of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in Shinjuku City, Tokyo, and is one of the most representative buildings in Shinjuku.
Observatories
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building has two observatories, one in the north (currently closed due to its use as a vaccination site for Covid19) and the other in the south, which are open to visitors free of charge.
Shibuya Area
Roppongi Area
From 202 meters above ground, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Tokyo, including the TOKYO SKYTREE, Shibuya, and Roppongi.
On a clear day, you can even see Mount Fuji.
Sunset and Mount Fuji
There is a cafe and souvenir shop in the south observation deck, where visitors can buy Tokyo souvenirs and enjoy a cup of coffee or a light meal.

Tokyo Tourist Information Center
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building also houses the “Tokyo Tourist Information Center” on the first floor, where information and consultation services are available in English, Chinese, and Korean.
