Jojakkoji Temple

Jojakkoji Temple is a scenic temple with a history of over 400 years located in Sagano and Arashiyama, Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture.
It is known for its beautiful green foliage and moss in early summer and beautiful autumn leaves in fall.

Observatory at Jojakkoji Temple

Jojakkoji Temple is built along Mount Ogura, and a walk up the temple grounds leads to an observatory overlooking Sagano and the city of Kyoto.
The view from the observatory is worth a visit.

Jojakkoji Temple is located a short distance from Arashiyama Station, which is very crowded, and there are relatively few tourists except during the season of autumn leaves.
This makes Jojakkoji Temple an attractive place to visit for its calm atmosphere.
