Yamanakako Panoramic Observatory is located in Teppouginoatama (Mount Myojin), Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture, and is known for its spectacular view of Lake Yamanaka, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, Mount Fuji and The Southern Japanese Alps.
During sunrise and sunset, many people visit to see the Mount Fuji tinted by the sunrise and sunset.
Also, in autumn, Japanese silver grass spreads all over the area, creating a golden landscape.
How to get to Yamanakako Panoramic Observatory
When using public transportation, buses are available from Mt.Fuji Station to the nearest bus stop “Mikuniyama Hiking Course Iriguch”. And from the bus stop it will be a 30 minute walk up the mountain.
The Yamanakako Panoramic Observatory, located along Yamanashi Prefectural Route 730, has a parking lot, so cars and motorcycles can be used to reach the observatory.
Mt. Mikuni, Panoramadai Hiking Course
Mt. Mikuni,Panoramadai Hiking Course is a hiking trail that connects three mountains: Mount Myojin, Mount Mikuni, Mount Obora. (The distance is about 10 km, and the time required is about 4 hours.)
